Robust, reliable and portable non-magnetic core-orientation device
Product Description
A newly designed, non-magnetic core orientation device for reliable orientation of drill core for acquisition of structural data from oriented drillholes
SGEO Rocket Launcher uses industrial-grade aluminium profile and stainless steel bolts, resulting in a non-magnetic and exceptionally sturdy, durable, and portable core orientation device, which can hold any core sizes from BQ to PQ. SGEO Rocket Launcher features robust, lockable hinges that support the beams holding the core and allowing plunge adjustments (0 to 90 degrees) without additional support which often obscure parts of the core and complicate the compass measurements. A 2 cm gap between the support beams allows accurate alignment of the orientation line and provides a clear view of the bottom part of the core.
The device is equipped with two hinges holding up to150 kg of load, which is sufficient to hold any core lengths up to 60 cm on the device. The support beams holding the actual core have a length of 40 cm. The device weighs 2.7 kg, measures 51 cm in length, and is 18 cm wide. Small side wings are inserted at the base to enhance the stability of the device.
