Alicanto Minerals provided an update on ongoing drilling at the company’s Sala Silver-Lead-Zinc-Copper-Gold project. Drill hole SAL2226 intersected 4.7m of massive sulfides grading 24.4% Zn, 875 g/t Ag and 3.7% Pb. The high-grade intercept is interpreted to be part of a mineralized antiformal structure, parallel to the historic Sala Mine and located only 120m below surface.
In addition, the company provided an update on recent step-out drilling NW of the historic Sala deposit. Following up historic drilling in the area resulted in multiple intersections into the strike continuation of the historic Sala Silver Mine. Intercepts into this area include e.g. 3.3m @ 142 g/t Ag, 3.6% Zn, 2.6% Pb, including 0.9m @ 405g/t Ag, 9.5% Zn, 7.2 % Pb.
Notably, both, the newly identified high-grade, antiform controlled mineralization and the northwestern extension of the main Sala deposit will be included in the upcoming maiden resource estimate, scheduled for this quarter.
