Northgold announced the completion of the first 1500m of a previously announced, ongoing, 5000m drill program at its Kopsa project in central Finland. According to the company, the initial 8 holes were designed to confirm and possibly expand the central, high-grade zones of the deposit, as well as to test the down-dip continuity of its southwestern parts. A total of 200m of samples has been sent off for assay with results expected within 4-8 weeks. Simultaneously, an IP survey has commenced and is expected to be finished this month, potentially aiding in the identification of additional drill targets at Kopsa. Following the core drilling at Kopsa, the company plans to explore its earlier stage Kiimala Trend project later this year.
