Mustajärvi Drilling Completed

Firefox Gold reported the completion of a nine-hole, 1540.6m drill program at its Mustajärvi gold project. The program was designed to infill the near-surface gold mineralization and to test for significant extensions towards the west and southwest. According to the company, preliminary impressions indicate that the drilling has been successful in extending the mineralized corridor to the southwest. Assay results are currently pending.

The company further received multielement geochemical analyses from the fall 2022 drill campaign, highlighting strongly enriched cobalt intercepts from the East target. Drill hole 22MJ021 returned 15.5m @ 13.09g/t Au, 0.15% Co and 143ppm Te, including 6.5m @ 19.18 g/t Au, 0.27% Co and 247ppm Te. The company notes that cobalt at Mustajärvi is known to occur in pyrite and more work is required to assess whether cobalt could be economically recovered.
