30m intersection at Tomtebo

District Metals reported assay results from the remaining 11 drill holes from its phase 2 drill program at the polymetallic Tomtebo project in central Bergslagen. Drill hole TOM21-028, targeting the “Steffenburgs zone massive sulphide lense” intersected 30.05m @ 10.9% ZnEq, including 21.8m @ 14.3% ZnEq, including 10.05m @ 17% ZnEq. Mineralization encountered in this drill hole showed several characteristics common to classical VMS deposits; e.g. the transition from a stringer sulfide system in the interpreted footwall into an interval of massive sulfide followed by weakly mineralized hanging wall rocks as well as an internal zoning pattern within the massive sulfide lens.

The company is currently awaiting final interpretations of downhole electromagnetic surveys and lithogeochemical analysis that will help to further optimize drill targeting at the Steffenburgs zone. Follow-up drilling is scheduled for early April.
