District Metals announced the start of drilling at its polymetallic Tomtebo project in central Bergslagen. Three holes for a total of 1200m are planned at Tomtebo, before moving to the company’s newly acquired Gruvberget property that will be tested with an additional 10 holes for approx. 1800m. Drilling at Tomtebo aims to step out from the previously intersected, high-grade polymetallic mineralization at the Steffenburgs zone. In addition, the company plans to test a magnetic high anomaly, some 665m to the northeast from the historic Tomtebo Mine. According to the company, the anomaly has similar characteristics to a magnetic high associated with the mineralization at the Steffenburgs zone and correlates with the favorable, mineralized VMS horizon.
