AEX Gold reported drill results from its 2021 exploration campaign at Nalunaq, southern Greenland. The company’s 51 drill hole program mostly focused on the Valley Block target area, a new emerging high-grade portion of the historically mined Nalunaq Main Vein. 33 of the drill holes intersected the quartz vein with 27 holes intercepting gold and five sections containing visible gold. The best drill hole of the campaign, AEX21044 intersected 0.5m grading 61.43g/t Au (weighted average). Notably, the intersection of high-grade gold in the valley block seems to underline the effectiveness of AEX’s “dolerite dyke model” that was used to predict more high-grade zones within the main vein. In addition to the Valley block intersections, the 2021 drilling also intersected high-grade gold in the downdip extension of the previously mined South Block, outlining yet another potential high-grade zone (0.49m @ 12.02g/t Au (weighted average) in AEX21021).
