Firefox Gold provided an update on its winter drilling program at the Mustajärvi and Jeesiö projects. At Mustajärvi, two holes drilled around the previously defined high-grade Northeast target returned 1.9m @ 8.9g g/t Au, 1m @ 8.09 g/t Au, 1.25m @ 8.32 g/t Au and 1.35m @ 5.76 g/t Au in 22MJ001 and 0.6m @ 5.98 g/t Au and several narrow intercepts between 1.06 and 1.86 g/t Au in 22MJ002. The company now interprets the mineralization at the Northeast target to be controlled by en-echelon structures, subparallel to the main shear zone with a high-grade core plunging approx. 35-40 deg to the northeast.

A shallow, hole (22MJ003) drilled in the East target intersected 4.4m @ 6.35 g/t Au, including 0.8m @ 25.93 g/t Au.

Follow-up drilling at Mustajärvi, with a focus on the East target and new targets in the southwest, is planned for later this spring.

At the company’s Jeesiö project, a total of 7 holes were drilled at two different prospects (Utsamo and Saittavaara). No mineralization but locally encouraging evidence of faulting, alteration, and anomalous geochemistry was intersected.
