Rupert Resources reported initial results from its 2022/2023 drill program that is planned to include 72800m of drilling (infill, step out, satellites, and regional targets). Drill hole #122180, targeting the eastern extension of the mineralization returned 32.5m @ 2.2g/t Au, extending the mineralization by approx. 110m down dip, beyond the limits of the current resource estimate.
The company plans to publish a preliminary economic assessment in Q4 2022, which will also include an updated resource estimate for Ikkari. The company further advised that simultaneously with exploration drilling, the fourth round of metallurgical test work will begin this month and baseline studies, as well as monitoring programs, are progressing to enable timely completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment and permit application stages.
