District Metals reported assay results from its spring 2024 drilling campaign at its polymetallic Tomtebo project in central Sweden. Testing the down plunge extension of the Steffenburgs zone, the best drill hole of the campaign (TOM24-042) returned 29.25m @ 0.95% Cu, 1.58% Zn, 0.79% Pb, 0.67g/t Au and 30g/t Ag (7.36% ZnEq), including 19.75m @ 1.29% Cu, 2.05% Zn, 1.06% Pb, 0.95g/t Au and 41g/t Ag (10.01% ZnEq).
Notably, the company currently interprets the high-grade, copper-rich intersection in hole 42 as intense footwall mineralization rather than the previously intersected seafloor-style massive sulfide mineralization. While preparing its maiden drilling program at the Stollberg project, scheduled for autumn 2024, the company continues geological work at Tomtebo and the surrounding area to generate targets for a follow-up drilling program.
