Nordic Nickel released results from a district-scale magnetic survey, underlining the area’s potential for multiple Hotinvaara-style ultramafic intrusives. The 269-line km UAV magnetic survey identified multiple magnetic anomalies with similar characteristics to Hotinavaara, of which some are known to correlate with the Ni-Cu-Co prospective Mertavaara Formation. Notably, the P3 anomaly could represent an untested, sub-cropping part of the Hotinvaara ultramafics, potentially significantly extending the strike length of the prospective rocks along the existing resource estimate.
Drilling is ongoing with thirteen holes for 9512m now completed at Hotinvaara and initial assay results expected in mid-May.
