Eclipse Metals announced the application for drill permits at its Groennedal-Ika project in western Greenland. 3D-inversion modeling of historic airborne magnetic data covering the carbonatite complex resulted in the definition of several vertically extensive magnetic bodies. According to previous exploration efforts, positive magnetic anomalism correlates strongly with REE mineralization at Groennedal-Ika. Notably, zones of high magnetism also correlate with a cluster of electromagnetic anomalies. The company aims to drill at Gronnedal-Ika during the 2022 field season.
