Promising Results From Björkdal

Mandalay Resources reported assay results from recent drilling at its Björkdal gold mine in northern Sweden. Drilling in the North Zone” returned e.g. 155g/t Au over 0.8m and 183g/t Au over 0.45m, while infill drilling between the Central and Lake Zone returned e.g. 14.7g/t Au over 4.1m and 27.3g/t Au over 2.2m.

According to the company, drilling between the Central and Lake Zone resulted in the definition of mineable grades up to 400m down plunge from the current mine infrastructure, while drilling in the north resulted in the definition of a new area with increasing vein density and grades approx. 450m to the north of the previously discovered Aurora zone. Notably, both, the Aurora and North Zone are located above the marble unit and have a far greater vertical extent than previously known zones located below the marble horizon.
