District Metals announced the identification of four new targets at its Gruvberget project in central Sweden. The targets were generated through a combination of geophysical data from a recent SkyTEM survey, geological data, and historic records and were followed up by a detailed soil sampling program that will allow further prioritization for drilling. Geochemical results are expected before the end of 2022
Target 1 (Backen), consists of two high-grade, historic boulders with an unknown source (up to 15% Zn, 4.8% Cu, 23g/t Ag). Target 2 (Gyllingen) is defined by a SkyTEM anomaly and “sphalerite mineralization” intersected in historic drilling. Target 3 (North Zone Extension) covers an area north of the Gruvberget North zone, where historic exploration intercepted polymetallic mineralization. Target 4 (South Zone Extension) includes a magnetic high anomaly coincident with weak, polymetallic mineralization intercepted in historic drilling, about 300m south-southwest from the Gruvberget South Zone.
