Mawson Gold announced the completion of a maiden drill program at the Skellefteå North gold project in northern Sweden. Six holes for a total of 752.8m were drilled, with four of the six holes returning significant gold intercepts. According to the company, the gold mineralization at Dalbacka is intimately related to arsenopyrite bearing, sheeted quartz veins, hosted within a mafic dyke and higher grades appear to be controlled by a shallow to moderate plunge to the east/south-east. 3D modeling to better define the structural controls on the system before defining targets for a stage 2 drill program is currently ongoing.
