Amaroq Minerals published results from its 2022 exploration program at the Sava license in Southern Greenland. Scout drilling at Target West intersected anomalous copper in a potassic and sodic-altered monzonite, followed by significant magnetite alteration and molybdenum mineralization. Surface mapping further identified vein-hosted molybdenite with grades up to 7.86% Mo. At Target South, drilling identified a strongly altered magnetite-rich granitoids with an LREE-enriched, magnetite-actinolite-apatite layer. Groundwork at Target North resulted in the identification of a quartz breccia zone over a length of approx. 1km, returning grades up to 0.46% Cu, 4.35g/t Au and 40.9g/t Ag. Results from the exploration program further underline the company’s initial assessment of a potential IOCG-style mineralized system occurring in the region.
An additional spectral remote sensing study, conducted by SRK Exploration Services, resulted in the identification of a further 33 IOCG and porphyry targets across the mineral belt.
