Bluejay Mining reported encouraging drill results from its Enonkoski Ni-Cu-Co joint venture project with Rio Tinto. Two drill holes for a total of 951.1m were drilled at the Laukunlampi target, with one hole returning multiple intersections of nickel-copper sulfide droplet zones with high Ni-tenor. Following the encouraging results, drilling of a follow-up hole to test a high-priority target has already commenced. The hole is testing the geological model that indicates the continuation of prospective pyroxenite units to the north and simultaneously investigating a coincident magnetic and electromagnetic anomaly.
Results from recent geological and geophysical modeling at the Hälvälä-Makkola target further indicated that the Makkola Ni-Cu mineralization is open at shallow depth along strike and to date not been tested by diamond drilling.
