Mawson Finland announced the completion of a 33-hole, 11,397m winter drilling program at its Rajapalot gold-cobalt project in northern Finland. Most notably, testing some recently defined downhole conductors at the Raja Deeps prospect resulted in the intersection of multiple zones of disseminated to semi-massive sulfides. While gold assays are still pending, visible gold was observed in an 11.3m long intersection starting at a downhole depth of 666.4m in drill hole PAL0388.
In addition to the diamond drilling, the company has also been operating a bottom-of-till sampling program, with 620 samples collected to date. Partial analysis of the samples has already defined two anomalous areas at “Bear Nest” and “Jussi’s Corner”.
