European Green Metals announced the acquisition of the Olserum REE project in southern Sweden which was recently designated a “project of national interest” by the Swedish Geological Survey. The project has a historic estimate of 4.5Mt @ 0.6% TREO in the indicated category and 3.3Mt @ 0.63% TREO in the inferred category (using a 0.4% cut-off) and remains open along depth and strike. Notably, beneficiation test work already indicates that REEs can be recovered and processed using standard metallurgical processes. Over the next 24 months, the company plans to upgrade the existing resource, test for extensions, and conduct additional beneficiation tests with the goal of fast-tracking the project to full feasibility.
