Prospech Limited reported initial assay results from its phase 3 sampling program of historic holes from the former Korsnäs lead mine. All 16 sampled holes reported mineralized intervals above 1000ppm TREO with highlighted intersections returning e.g. 16.6m @ 18,739ppm TREO, including 9.3m @ 30,514 ppm TREO in drill hole KR-135. The latest high-grade intersections appear to define a skarn-hosted REE mineralized body some 500m SE from the former lead mine. The mineralization appears to be a distinct system, separate from the mine itself, and is open along strike and depth, thus constituting a prime candidate for confirmatory drilling in 2024.
Assay results from another 1544 samples from 72 additional historic drill holes are currently pending and the company has reserved further logging and sampling periods at the GTK’s facility in January, February, and March 2024.
