Latitude 66 reported the intersection of sulfides in an RC trial program at its KSB North project in northeastern Finland. The drilling program tested geophysical anomalies and geochemical targets at two of the company’s prospects in northern Finland.
Notably, drill hole K6RC009 intersected 16m of disseminated sulfides close to a high-grade boulder (8.8g/t Au & 0.6% Cu, 3.7g/t Au & 0.04% Cu) and in proximity to the geophysical anomaly. Samples have been dispatched and assay results are expected in approximately six weeks.
With 12 holes for a total of 315m and up to 40m maximum depth, the drilling program has also proven the feasibility of RC drilling, which is generally not used for exploration in Northern Scandinavia.
