Teako Minerals announced a significant increase in its landholdings in northern Norway. Following the granting of 72 new exploration claims and in combination with an option agreement with Capella Minerals, the company now controls 796 square kilometers of exploration ground in the historic Vaddas-Birtavarre mining district, prospective for cobber-cobalt mineralization.
The Vaddas-Birtavarre district is host to several known Caledonian age semi-massive to massive sulfide deposits at different stratigraphic levels and has seen approximately 6000m of historic drilling. As a first step, the company is currently in the process of digitizing all current and historical data and announced the appointment of Ginny Gay as special advisor for the Vaddas project.
