Firefox Gold announced the completion of a six-hole, 1617.5m drilling campaign at its Mustajärvi gold project. Testing the depth extension of the near-surface, high-grade gold zone at the east target, the drilling intersected several intervals of quartz-carbonate-tourmaline-pyrite veining and intense alteration. Assay results are expected in early March.
Surface sampling at the Jeesiö project further resulted in the identification of a new area of gold mineralization, returning up to 6.28g/t Au.
The company further announced that it was granted three additional exploration permits close to important gold-hosting geological units and structures in the CLGB.
