Great Northern Minerals published results from preliminary magnetic separation testwork of lithium-bearing minerals from its Kuusisuo project. The rejects from three previously analyzed rock chip samples were sieved to produce five different fractions of crusher fines. Ocular inspection of the fractions revealed that the 0.125mm-0.25mm fraction had the best liberation results. Subsequent magnetic separation of this fraction returned recoveries of between 96-98% of lithium in the magnetic concentrates.
The company is currently planning an exploration license application in preparation for a drill program.
