Latitude 66 reported high-grade Au in a recently acquired and validated dataset from its K8 prospect in Kuusamo. The historical data includes e.g. 19.0m @ 6.0g/t Au, 0.04% Co or 6.5m @ 8.1g/t Au, 0.01% Co.
As part of its geophysical exploration program, the company was able to re-enter and measure two of the historic holes at K8. The survey resulted in the identification of an in-hole anomaly coincident with strong mineralization and an off-hole conductor, indicating the down-plunge continuation of the system.
Following these promising results, the company plans to test the prospect with some 500m of drilling as part of an ongoing campaign at the neighboring K9 prospect.
