European Energy Metals announced the discovery of widespread lithium mineralization in central Finland. Initial fieldwork has resulted in the discovery of multiple boulder clusters and trends within a few kilometers of the Sibanye-Stillwater-Keliber operation. Following the first two months of the field campaign, the company’s geologists collected 450 rock chip samples with assays currently pending. Notably, discoveries at the Jylha and Tastula prospects are located within less than two kilometers from existing pegmatite deposits. The company notes that most of the significant deposits and prospects in the region have been found by tracing boulder trains to their source with the deposits being generally located 300-500m from their source.
