Boliden entered into a definitive agreement with Lundin Mining to acquire the Zinkgruvan and Neves-Corvo mines for USD 1.3 billion, plus contingent cash payments of up to USD 150 million.
The addition of these two mines will significantly enhance Boliden’s zinc and copper production. In 2023, Neves-Corvo produced approximately 108 kt of zinc and 34 kt of copper, while Zinkgruvan produced around 76 kt of zinc and 4 kt of copper.
