Mandalay Resources reported the discovery of a new domain of gold mineralization 200m to the north of current operations at its Björkdal mine. To date, the discovery zone has been defined in 18 veins over a strike length of 400m and a height of 250m. The best intercepts to date include 178.9g/t Au over 1.15m, 39.6g/t Au over 3.9m, and 69.4g/t Au over 0.8m.
The new zone remains open along strike and at depth and the company plans to release a maiden resource estimate for the area in February 2025.
