Grit Metals reported the discovery of widespread copper and gold mineralization from reconnaissance field work at its Central Lapland Greenstone belt project in Finland. Over the summer and fall, the company conducted a two-month reconnaissance program at the underexplored gold project, collecting a total of 466 rock chip samples. 40 of those samples assayed between 0.1 to 2.84g/t Au and 0.1% to 1.67% Cu, serving as an initial proof of concept to the gold endowment of area.
Notably, the area had no previously known gold occurrences or a history of gold exploration before the company’s recent work.
