Firefox Gold provided an exploration update from its Sarvi and Mustajärvi projects in northern Finland.

At the company’s Sarvi project, 12 initial holes have been completed with assay results for the first five holes received. Focusing on the northwestern part of the permit, drill hole 22SA001 intersected low-grade gold mineralization partly associated with elevated silver grades over sometimes larger intervals, representing the apparent down-dip continuation of anomalous gold encountered by Firefox’s previous trenching efforts. Holes 22SA002-4 did not encounter any mineralization but the last sample of 22SA005, which was terminated due to technical difficulties in a fault zone, returned 31.2g/t Ag.

At Mustajärvi, an additional 10 holes have to date been drilled to test the gabbro target in the west of the property as well as to follow up on recent high-grade, near-surface intercepts at the East target. The company notes that the program is ongoing and results for the recent holes are currently pending.
