AEX Gold provided an exploration update from its Nanoq Gold prospect. Rock chip sampling at the prospect returned high-grade gold values up to 16.95 g/t Au. Notably, the sampling resulted in the discovery of previously unrecognized shear zones, increasing the potential target size of the prospect. According to the company, the mineralization appears open along strike to the SW and could be sitting in a larger structure that also hosts the Jokums Shear gold/copper occurrence some 25km away. For the 2022 field season, the company plans to run a high-resolution geophysical survey across its Nanoq prospect and along the 25km long structure.
The company further advised that 2022 field activities have commenced with infill drilling at the Nalunaq project and exploration drilling at the Sava IOCG project.
