Mawson Gold reported high-grade gold intersections from the first two holes drilled at its Skelleftea North gold project in northern Sweden. Targeting the down-dip continuity of a gold mineralized dyke system at the Dalbacka prospect, both holes intersected the steeply dipping mafic unit, with Hole DB2101 returning 4.81g/t Au over 4.42m and hole DB2102 returning 28.4g/t Au over 1.8m, including 0.4m @ 132 g/t Au. The mineralization appears to be related to arsenopyrite bearing, sheeted quartz veins, with locally occurring visible gold. Assay results for several holes are currently pending, with a final hole testing the northwestern extension of the system expected to be finished shortly.
