Greenland Minerals issued a statement regarding a draft decision by the Greenland Government that proposes to reject the company’s exploitation license application for the Kvanefjeld project. Kvanefjeld is one of the world’s largest undeveloped REE projects with over 1 billion tonnes of JORC-compliant mineral resources.
The Greenland Government’s draft decision is based on a recent change in legislation to ban all mining projects that contain more than 100ppm uranium in its ore.
