Bluejay Mining provided an update on exploration activities at its Enonkoski Ni-Cu-Co project in eastern Finland, advanced together with JV partner Rio Tinto. First drilling in 2022 focused on the Muhelampi and Laukunlampi targets, 2.5km west and directly southeast of the former Laukunkangas Ni-Cu-Co mine, respectively. The completed exploration activities at the two targets included a total of 1648.2m of diamond drilling, as well as follow-up DHEM surveys at Laukunlampi. In addition, a 61-sample, top-of-bedrock program, focusing on the Muhola mafic intrusion and two additional targets was completed. A geological mapping and sampling program, targeting known mafic-ultramafic intrusive outcrops is currently ongoing. The company notes that, while ToB results provided interesting follow-up targets and drilling at Laukunlampi continued to intersect sulfide droplets and provided new important insights, further exploration activities at Muhelampi were stopped as the mafic intrusion is currently interpreted to be too small to host any significant mineralization.
