Capella Minerals provided an exploration update for its Lokken copper-cobalt-zinc project in central Norway. Recent fieldwork focused on a 5km long corridor extending eastward from the historic Lokken mine and included systematic ground magnetic surveys, ionic leach sampling, and the evaluation of historic data.
The exploration efforts resulted in the identification of a 1.5km long, coincident magnetic and electromagnetic anomaly with elevated soil copper-cobalt values south of the former Åmot copper-zinc mine. The company plans to drill test the anomaly in late Q2 2023, following a first-pass drill program at its Kjoli project in the Roros mining district.
