High-Grade Gold From Risti

Aurion Resources reported the intersection of multiple zones of gold mineralization at its Kaaresselkä prospect. The best intercept in drill hole KS22027 returned 17.12g/t Au and 0.55% Cu over 5.9m, including 24.36g/t Au and 0.75% Cu over 4m. The mineralization is hosted by highly deformed sericite-silica altered mafic volcanic rocks containing minor to moderate amounts of sulfides and was originally explored as a base metal target by the GTK through 7 RC holes and 120 historic diamond holes.

The company notes that the extent and orientation of the gold mineralized intervals is not known at this stage but sees many similarities in the geological setting between the Kaares area and recent, significant discoveries in the CLGB.
