LKAB published updated resource and reserve numbers for the Kiruna, Malmberget, Svappavaara and Per Geijer ores. Following successful exploration efforts, mineral resources increased by 16% to 800 Mt in Kiruna, by 22% to around 1.2 Bt in Malmberget and by 10% to more than 400 Mt in Svappavaara (Gruvberget). As previously reported, the Per Geijer ores have a resource of 585 Mt of iron ore, including phosphorous and REE’s.
At the end of December 2022, the company’s inventory amounted to 3.2 Bt reported as mineral resources and 1.1 Bt reported as mineral reserves.
