Bluejay Mining provided an update on its Dundas Ilmenite project. Following a drilling campaign at the Moriusaq West deposit, designed to improve levels of confidence in the 2019 mineral resource estimate, the results returned lower grades and tonnages than expected ( Moriusaq West 2019 MRE: 59.3 Mt @ 3.26% in situ TiO2 vs. Moriusaq West 2023 MRE: 29.7Mt @ 1.99% TiO2). Based on the changed project economics, the company decided to not develop the project further as a sole developer, while focusing on its portfolio of base and battery metal projects in Greenland and Finland.
The company further reported results from the 2022 exploration season at its Disko-Nuussuaq Ni-Cu-Co-PGE-Au project that included a range of geophysical surveys to further delineate and rank targets for future drilling at the highly prospective project.
